HELLO MONDAY MORNING!
I was sitting on the couch watching Family Matters on the last half hour of Nick @ Nite [shortly after poor boo gimped out the door for work], it was the episode where Eddie gets accepted into Chicago State, Carl has "FOF" fear of failure, and we learn that Waldo actually has a chance at a future-- culinary school (who knew). Then I heard something speak... It was my tummy... It said "Grawr!"... I hooked up some grits and made it into some awesome hot cereal (milk, butter, sugar & love)... Woooo! It gave me everything I needed. It was a little like the stuff dreams are made of.
HELLO MONDAY MORNING!
I turned to Animal Planet; it's one of the few channels that aren't plagued with infomercials in the early morning. I was watching the tail end of what I believe was called "Big Cat Diary", one of the many shows where a nature lover creeps around the wilderness spying on animals-- this show particularly, he loves to spy on big cats. In this ending segment he was in the Serengeti watching a mother Cheetah teach her kittens how to hunt Gazelles. The kittens were chasing around a baby Gazelle tripping it up, tumbling around with it, giggling, it actually looked like they were all playing a game. The mother Cheetah coached from the sidelines for a while and then after some time, I guess she got a little agitated with them and their playful antics... and then it went something like this:
Kittens: Hehehe, we're gonna get you!
Baby Gazelle: Nuh uh! I'll show you, look at my running skills!
Kitten: {Trips Gazelle} Haha, see!
Baby Gazelle: Hey... that wasn't fair! Re-do!
Kittens: Best of out 5!
Baby Gazelle: Ok, you're on!
Mother Cheetah: Looks kids, we don't have all day.. Just do what I told you to do..
Kittens: {Giggling} This kid is fast!
Baby Gazelle: Told ya'! Can't touch this!
Mother Cheetah: My goodness.... {ZIP!}{SWIPE!}{PIN!}.. Get over here one of you and bite this child's neck... We've got other things to do today!
Kitten: Whoa..... Mommy that's so cool!! I wanna do it!!
Nature Guy: Though this may be a scene that is hard to watch, these baby Cheetahs have just received their first lesson in hunting.
Me: ................ Aw, man... Really?.... Gosh..
HELLO MONDAY MORNING!
