2012 Already??

It seems like ages pass between my posts.  I write something and then I'm M.I.A for a month or two.. or in this case until the following year.
But, thank the Lord of a free Saturday morning in 2012!  Here I am again ready to share-- grab a snack and let's go.

The Update:
As always, God continues to be amazing.  My husband continues to be a great friend, leader, and support.  I continue to grow in wife-hood and strive be the best companion I can be.  Overall life is just good.  Jay C. and I started a Bible study at our apartment earlier this year.  He used to hold Bible study while in Aiken also, and it went very well. It took a while to get it going here, but now we hold a small group study on Thursday's at 7pm.  I love it!  It feels good being able to share and discuss the word with friends and family. We hope that our small group will be able to grow, but the Lord said, "where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there with them."

I would like to state that I am super stoked that it is now Spring time!  I love this time of year; the sun, the rain showers, the new blooming plants... minus the daily dust coating of pollen and the re-emerging critters..  Jay C. and my anniversary is right around the corner on April 16th (man, time flies!) and my birthday is in the following week on the 23rd-- two more joys of Spring :).  It's just such a beautiful time of year!

Previously, it seems that there has been a recurring theme in my posts, 'I got a new job'... Welp, yet again I've gotten a new job-- and this is the one that my heart had been set on for a while so I believe this is where I will be until it's time to turn to the next chapter in life (the Children chapter.)

Here's a brief recap in My Story of [un]Employment: I had no job for what seemed like a long time I landed a seasonal job at Kay Jewelers Husband landed a new job in Greenville (causing a move from Aiken to Greenville) I transferred to work seasonal at a sister store, Mark's and Morgan Jewelers I landed another part-time job at MCE Automotive (having 2 jobs) I landed the job I initially wanted since the move at Synnex Corporation-- and resigned from Mark's and Morgan and MCE Automotive.

Synnex, what's that?... Well I'm glad you asked!  In short, it's a distribution company that deals with all sorts of big name electronics, software, etc.  I work in Business Development on the LG Electronics line so my job in a nut shell is to keep the relationships running smoothly between LG, our sales team, and the resellers (the customers.)  I'll have been with the company for two months on Sunday April 1st, and thus far I really enjoy being there.  The LG team is a great team to work with-- very efficient and very friendly!  Plus, having a set schedule with weekends off has made Telly C. very pleased :).

So after getting my new job, God blessed us with the means to get another car for my husband.  Crystal (his old car) had served her purpose and was traded in for a newer 2006 Honda Accord.  He fell in love with the car ever since he saw it's pictures online.  It's a manual shift with an upgraded sound system, tinted windows, and a pretty sleek black leather interior.  He has named it The Batmobile. I have not yet learned how to drive The Batmobile, but I don't mind taking the passenger side and not having to drive when we take his car :).  I might learn how to drive it one of these days, but in the mean time I'm going to enjoy this.  We still have DeCarlo (my car, which is an automatic) so I still don't get away completely without having to drive.. Shucks.

And....That's about all I have for now.  I hope everyone's first few months of 2012 has been lovely thus far! I'll try to get a few more posts out before next year :)

  2. Same here. I suddenly realize it's been days or weeks since my last post. You're not alone--I think it's just a reality of blogging and having a life at the same time!
    Have a great weekend!
