Deceptive Nature...

Here is another piece that my husband wrote.  This is more emphasis on the need to live upright and holy before God.  Sin is of course in our nature, but our own nature is what Satan likes to use to deceive us.  We can, however, have the power to overcome our own nature!  Awesome, right? I pray you receive something from it!

What was Paul referring to in the word of God when he said there was a war in his members? Why did he say when I do good, evil is present? Well he was speaking of the nature of the flesh in which strives against the Spirit of God. Through first man Adam did the nature of sin reign in the flesh. This nature is what brings about lying, cheating, fornication, killing, lust, and all manner of evil. This human nature is extremely DANGEROUS AND DESTRUCTIVE. Why? Because carnal nature is SO DECEPTIVE. Paul said that NO good thing dwells in the flesh. This very flesh that we live in; will destroy us if we let it. The flesh neglects the fact that its works are very temporary and the consequences of its actions. It only focuses on right now and what feels good to it at that moment. What feels good and natural to the flesh goes directly against the will of God. The will and the desires of this flesh REBELS against the PERFECT and HOLY will of God. Its nature is extremely STUBBORN AND EVIL. This flesh finds comfort in evil, for it is DESPERATELY WICKED! So through Adam did sin enter in, but through Christ are true believers set FREE from this wicked nature of the flesh. Through Christ are set free from the POWERS of SIN and DEATH. FOR WHOM THE SON SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED! Christ calls us to be BORN AGAIN and to walk in the NEWNESS OF LIFE. Therefore the old man is passed away and you become a completely NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST! Christ came to earth, born of a natural woman from the seed of Abraham, in this same flesh that we are in. His flesh bared every feeling and desire that our flesh carries. Every temptation that our flesh has, his flesh also was tempted in the same manner. The nature of his flesh was no different from ours, yet he lived without sin! How was he able to live without sin? He denied the will of his own MORTAL FLESH and brought it UNDER THE SUBMISSION of the will of God. God calls us to do the exact same thing in order to please him. Through the price that Christ paid on Calvary: being beaten, mocked, spit on, crown of thorns on his head, beard ripped out of his face, died, and paid the price of hell; we are able to repent and receive of the Holy Spirit of God. This Spirit comes in and changes the very nature by which we walk by. Through the Holy Spirit are we able to overcome the will of the flesh and fulfill the will of God! We then partake of the DIVINE NATURE OF GOD! Christ eliminated all excuses and paved the complete was that we may live HOLY, CLEAN, AND PURE! Don’t be deceived by the nature of this flesh, for all that walk therein are not pleasing God! The pull of the flesh will be present as long as we live in it, (The war Paul referred to in Romans 7), but Christ the only way we can overcome it. Let us denounce the nature of the flesh, yes our own selves, and take on the divine nature of God! If any man wants to follow Christ, he must first deny himself, pick up his own cross and follow him. So those that follow Christ have a cross to bear! We have a cross that we must also nail this flesh to in order to fulfill God’s will! There will be temptations, but as Christ we also must deny ourselves and walk free of sin. There is repentance for those that have sinned, and deliverance for those that are bound by the power of sin. So today, right now, repent and let God make you a NEW CREATURE! Denounce this old sinful nature of the flesh, and let God WASH , CLEANSE, AND PURGE you with his HOLY SPIRIT! God says in his word if we walk according to his Spirit, we won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. All the pleasure of the flesh will come to an end, and all the partakers of its will shall inherit its destruction. But all that deny its nature, and partake of the sufferings of Christ, shall inherit eternal life! Yes denying this flesh and your natural fleshly will is suffering! It’s not easy at times; it’s an all out WAR! But the suffering on this earth shall not compare to the glory that those that overcome shall receive! It’s going to be indeed worth it all on that great day! All the persecution, sufferings, trials, tribulations, people turning their backs on you… So for those that walks upright in the truth, HOLD OUT! For there is a crown of glory with your name on it in heaven! For those that are not walking in the will of God, turn now before it’s everlasting too late! The parties, fornication, lying, backbiting, drinking, drugs, gossiping, lust, and pleasure of this world will all come to an end one day! And we all must give an account for our lives! God said this world only consist of 3 things: The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life… That’s it… Not worth losing your eternal soul for temporary pleasure! Repent now and partake of the DIVINE NATURE OF GOD. THERE IS NO GREATER PLACE TO BE THAN IN THE WILL OF GOD!
