Party Over Here, Ain't Nothin' Over There?

I was thinking...

Ever heard a crowd start chanting "Party over here, ain't nothin' over there!  Party over here, ain't nothin' over there!"...  Yes?  No?  Well if not, it's like the other cliche' chant from back in the day, "The roof!  The roof!  The roof is on fire!  We don't need no water--" and so on, you might know the rest. 
I'm sure there's plenty of other things that crowds chant in the throws of wild fun, but it seems the main theme of things is "forget everything else, we're having fun where we're at!" .  Nowadays, in the world life is like a big party; not always in a celebratory fashion.  People go where they want to go, do what they want to do, live how they want to live with no strings attached and seemingly no rules to follow.  Why not live anyway you'd like to live? It's your life, right?  Not exactly.

One thing that I am very avid about is Christ.   He is a very big deal, and more times than not people tend to over-look the seriousness behind him.  I could speak on him all day, but that's not what I plan to do.   I had, however, made a video a little while back to sum up some things, and hopefully shed light for some turnarounds.  Here is the link to it: Jesus Is Coming .  If you don't know of Christ, have lost your way from Christ, or even are a firm believer in Christ please watch the video.  After Christ paid the price for all of our sins, he presented us with a gift that we can either accept or deny; a way out of paying our own debt for sin.  We no longer "own" our lives after that...  Our lives belong to Christ [because he paid for us] and from then on we are called to live a righteous life that shadows that of Christ's.  My overall point is "Party over here, ain't nothin' over there" is the mentality the world has when it comes to righteousness.  Party over here, ain't nothin' going on if you're not spending your nights at the club.  Party over here, ain't nothin' going on if your not in somebody's bed.   Party over here, ain't nothin' going on if you're not tossing back shots.  Party over here, ain't nothing going on if you're not getting down like everyone else.   Party over here, ain't nothin' going on if you're not living it up in sin. Party over here with Satan, ain't nothin' over there with Christ.  What the world doesn't realize is that while they're chanting "Party over here, ain't nothin' over there" with their lives, what's really "over there" is the way to eternal life and that's when the real party starts.  It's not yet too late to add you name to the list!  Accept the gift of life Christ gives you, and live your life righteously like you want eternal life!
